In speaking with my HTC “peers”, it was decided that we should have a Meetup, the week after Christmas. I have spoken to others who have the HTC Touch 2/Sprint phone, as well as other HTC phones and they were excited to attend a gathering of other HTC enthusiast to
- advance their knowledge on the HTC phone
- learn new apps
- discover “fixes” for some of the issues the HTC/Sprint.
While planning this get together, probably to be held in the DC area. I came across an interesting article by an XDA memberDARKSTONE1337, (X stands for merging of data/information and voice, the DA stands for Digital Assistant, like the PDAs). Who has hacked into (not recommending this) the HTC HD2, and replaced the Windows Mobile OS with Android(Google’s OS). This hacker mounted and loaded the entire OS into the device’s RAM. The outcome is a faster running system. Also the data is saved to the phone’s internal storage.
