In December 2008 the Urban Progressive Foundation hosted a Panel on the Impact DTV has had on the underserviced communities. During the Q&A section: Amy Gotwal from the National Association On Areas of Aging poised a question to the panel.
Amy E. Gotwals joined n4a in September 2005 as Director of Public Policy and Legislative Affairs. Amy leads n4a’s advocacy efforts to ensure that needed resources and support services are available to older Americans and their caregivers. This involves creating and managing direct lobbying and grassroots strategies; coordinating n4a’s public policy agenda; and managing the annual Aging Policy Briefing and Capitol Hill Day in Washington, DC.Amy has 14 years of public policy, lobbying, and grassroots organizing experience. She has represented diverse groups including the Older Women’s League, the Center for Science in the Public Interest, the Alliance of Nonprofit Mailers, and the National Network for Youth.Amy earned a Bachelor’s degree in American Studies from Mount Holyoke College and holds a Master’s degree in Legislative Affairs from the George Washington University.
